Echoes of the forgotten

This project is the culmination of years of exploration, patience, and countless days and nights spent chasing both silence and starlight. Echoes of the Forgotten began as a simple urge to document abandoned places scattered across Cyprus — spaces where time seemed to stand still.

From the very beginning, respect has been at the heart of this journey — respect for the places I entered, for the lives once lived within their walls, and for the history that still lingers in their silence. Every site holds its own story, and each photograph is an attempt to preserve it without altering or diminishing its truth.

Over the years, this work has grown into more than just photography. It has strengthened friendships, tested our limits and endurance, and gifted us unforgettable moments beneath forgotten roofs and infinite skies.

For me, Echoes of the Forgotten is not only about what has been lost, but also about what remains — the haunting beauty, the hidden stories, and the resilience of silence. It is a personal journey, crafted with reverence, persistence, and a desire to give voice to places that cannot speak for themselves.
